Telstra launches the world first gigabit LTE network in Australia

Telstra, an Australian mobile network company in partnership with Qualcomm, Netgear and Ericsson edges closer to 5G by launching a Gigabit class LTE mobile device called TELSTRA NIGHTHAWK M1.

It is a mobile broadband hotspot which is currently the fastest mobile device in the world.
According to Telstra device management director Andrew Volard, "the device is aimed at helping users further embrace of new breed of mobile application and experiences including immersive virtual reality, connected cloud computing and rich entertainment".
The device is pushing mobile broadband technology to the limit in terms of speed and bringing the world one step closer to 5G.

According to the company, the device is capable of downloading 300MB within 15-20 seconds or 3GB in as little as 3minutes
